    DDS, NMD, IBDM, AIAOMT

Dr. Martina Mallery was born and raised in communist Czechoslovakia and she always had a passion for health care. She went to nursing school in Prague and earned her Dietary Nursing degree in 1988. Soon after the communist regime fell, she relocated to the United States to experience freedom and democracy and to pursue her college education. In 1999, she graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. In 2004, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University Of Southern California School Of Dentistry in Los Angeles. She was practicing conventional dentistry until she opened her mind to holistic/biological methods and concepts she came across in her private studies. As her independent research and interest in holistic/biological dentistry deepened, she began introducing these methods into her practice. She became an active member of International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, and Holistic Dental Association. These organizations publish peer-reviewed studies that present compelling scientific evidence that certain dental materials and procedures routinely used in modern dentistry have a potential to cause autoimmune disorders and other degenerative diseases including cancer. In order to align with the emerging science, Dr. Mallery decided to convert fully to a biological/holistic dental practice in 2017.

Since then, Dr. Mallery has become an Accredited Biological Dentist by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. She is also certified for SMART protocol, which stands for Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique. She also went on to study at the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry, School of Biological Dentistry and Medicine to earn a degree of a Board Certified Naturopathic Dentist. Her practice is free of all fluoride-containing dental materials, she stopped recommending root canal therapy as a long-term definitive treatment, and she practices metal-free dentistry. She offers dental material biocompatibility testing when indicated. Further, she completed advanced training in procedures such as biological tooth extractions, treatment of jaw bone cavitations, and ozone therapy in dentistry.

In her spare time Dr. Mallery enjoys biking, kayaking at the Florida springs, and going to the beach. She also loves traveling locally and internationally with her sons, Martin and Lucas. Together they have visited many countries including Peru, Iceland, and Bosnia Herzegovina.

  • Portrait of Dr. Zannis

    Dr. Sylvia Zannis

    DDS, CAGS, ND, AIAOMT

Dr. Sylvia’s journey began with “I want to help people feel better,” an idea that grew from watching her grandfather be of service to others in his business and in life. Dentistry was the focus that attracted her, and she started her education: a BS in Human Biology from Michigan State University followed by a Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. To further her knowledge and skills, she spent her next year at Boston University pursuing her Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. Dr. Sylvia settled into private practice in the Boston area and was soon noticed for her excellence, being selected by her peers as a Top Dentist in 2019. She served as dental director of an integrative functional medicine clinic in New England. She is SMART certified and an active member of the IAOMT biological dentist organization. She earned a fellowship in ceramic implantology and a fellowship through the Academy of General Dentistry for dedication in continuing education.

Over the years and after treating many patients, a curiosity developed: why do some people have more diseases than others? That question led Dr. Sylvia to explore the connection of mind/body/spirit and a journey with her patients in search of the root cause of their symptoms. She discovered the paradigm shift of integrating dentistry and medicine, seeing the mouth as a gateway and everything connected. In support of her own life, Dr. Sylvia enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, and finding creative activities for her son, Jett.
