PLATELET RICH PLASMA
At White Sands, we use your body’s own plasma to naturally aid in bone regeneration.
When a tooth is extracted, it leaves behind holes where the roots entered the bone. Sometimes, these holes will need additional treatment to regenerate into healthy bone.
After sterilizing the surgical site with ozone, we can employ platelet rich plasma - or “PRP” to aid in bone regeneration.

We have a traveling registered nurse on staff, who will draw your blood chair-side. We then spin your blood in a centrifuge, separating the plasma from the blood.

Your body recognizes its own plasma. Unlike other commonly used bone grafting materials, such as bovine (cow-derived) materials that introduce new DNA and contaminants into your body, your personal plasma is recognizable by your body and will not be rejected by your immune system.
